Abstract
A thermophilic chemolithoautotrophic bacterium was isolated from vent fluids at Axial Seamount, an active deep-sea volcano in the northeast Pacific Ocean. We present the draft genome sequence of
Desulfurobacterium
sp. strain AV08.
