Community College Research Experience at WHOI (CC-CREW)

Applications for the 2021 CC-CREW internships at WHOI are closed.

This internship, now called the Community College – Comprehensive Research Experience at WHOI (CC-CREW), is a paid, non-residential, summer research internship program for Cape Cod and Massachusetts Community College students at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in Woods Hole, MA. The program is sponsored by WHOI, C-DEBI, and the Cape Cod Starter Academy through the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. Students will gain firsthand exposure to the scientific process by working in a faculty-led research lab at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Woods Hole, MA. In addition to research, students will participate in activities focusing on how to transition from a two-year college to a university and information on graduate school. At the end of the program, students will present their results to an audience of peers and mentors.

This program was previously called the Community College Research Internship for Scientific Engagement (CC-RISE) and also hosted at the University of California Santa Cruz and the University of Southern California
