The ideal candidate should be well versed in one or more of the following areas: mineralogy/materials science/geobiology,. The ideal candidate would also have experience in conducting extensive and detailed materials analyses (e.g. Raman and optical spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, SEM), and should be comfortable with analytical instrumentation. Experience with anaerobic microbiology, in particular culturing anaerobic microbes, is also of value. The candidate is expected to have a strong work ethic as well as excellent communication and time management skills. The position is open immediately and will remain open through December 31, 2015. A PhD in a related field is required at the time of appointment.
